ABOUT US

We believe the hope of every community is a healthy, united, and engaged local church.

We envision a day when every church is known for blessing its community, every believer is equipped and empowered to live on mission, every trusted community organization has the volunteers it needs, and every person experiences the hope and love of Christ through His people.

The Challenge

Our communities are searching for hope, purpose, and truth. Yet many people view the church as disconnected from the needs around them rather than as a source of hope and restoration. Culture has changed dramatically. The days of "if you build it, they will come" are over. Biblical beliefs and values are no longer widely understood, accepted, or embraced. As a result, churches must intentionally and strategically engage their communities with both the truth of the Gospel and the love of Christ.

According to Barna Research:

  • Only 1% of pastors say their church has been very effective in reaching unchurched people

  • Just 12% of Pastors say they are very effective in encouraging christians to share their faith

  • Between 2015 and 2022 alone, there was a 24-point drop in the percentage of pastors who felt their church was at least somewhat effective at reaching out to the unchurched (63% in 2015 vs. 39% in 2022)

  • Only about one-third of U.S. adults believe churches have their best interest at heart

We believe these statistics are not a reason to lose hope, but they are a call for the Church to lead with humility, compassion, and intentionality.

The Solution

While culture has changed, the mission of the Church has not.

Jesus still calls His followers to love their neighbors, make disciples, and be the light of the world. The opportunity before us is not to change the Gospel, but to faithfully and creatively engage today's culture with it. The Local Reach Project exists to help churches do exactly that.

By connecting and mobilizing churches with trusted community partners, equipping believers through evangelism training, and creating meaningful opportunities to serve, we help churches become visible expressions of the Gospel in their communities.

When the Church consistently blesses its city, serves its neighbors, and shares the hope of Christ, lives are changed, communities are strengthened, and the narrative surrounding the Church begins to change.

We believe every act of service creates an opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ and point people to the hope found in Him.

Our Strategy

We accomplish our mission by Partnering, Preparing, and Providing.

1

Partner

We unite churches, nonprofits, businesses, schools, and community organizations that share a desire to strengthen their communities. By bringing together trusted partners, we create a growing network of opportunities where churches can serve, organizations can thrive, and communities can flourish. We believe we accomplish far more together than we ever could alone.

2

We prepare the Church to engage today's culture with confidence, compassion, and the Gospel. Through our Community Partnership Network, Reach Initiatives, and free evangelism training, we equip believers with practical opportunities and biblical confidence to bless their communities, reach their neighbors, and faithfully live on mission every day.

Prepare

3

Provide

When disasters strike, tragedies occur, or urgent needs arise, we mobilize the local church to respond. By rallying churches, businesses, community partners, and volunteers, we provide practical care, compassionate support, and tangible hope to those facing difficult circumstances, demonstrating the love of Christ through His Body.
