ABOUT US
The Local Reach Project is a faith-based non-profit organization that unites the local church in evangelical and community transformation efforts. Our mission is to expand the reach and impact of the local church by preparing the way for believers to transform their communities with the gospel.
The Problem
The problem we are addressing is a trust issue with the local church that has worsened due to a lack of effective evangelism and community engagement as culture has changed over recent years. This has led to the world viewing the church negatively and as a problem in our broken world instead of a solution. As a result, people are looking for answers and hope outside of the church and suffering as a result.
According to Barna Research:

Only 1% of pastors say their church has been very effective in reaching unchurched people

Just 12% of Pastors say they are very effective in encouraging christians to share their faith

Between 2015 and 2022 alone, there was a 24-point drop in the percentage of pastors who felt their church was at least somewhat effective at reaching out to the unchurched (63% in 2015 vs. 39% in 2022)

Only about one-third of U.S. adults believe churches have their best interest at heart
The Solution
When culture shifts, we must proactively engage it with humility, adaptability, and compassion, while remaining steadfast in the truth of the Gospel. Gone are the days where "You build it and they will come" because the church's beliefs, values and principles are no longer generally accepted, viewed positively or even known. This requires us to be strategic in how we communicate our faith and engage with non-believers, knowing the road ahead may involve more resistance and persecution, but also provides an opportunity for us to show the world a different, compelling vision of life how God intended.
By carrying out our mission and strategy, we will see an advancement of the local church that will rewrite the narrative of the church and transform communities from a state of despair to thriving within god’s design.
Our Strategy
The Local Reach Projects provides the local church with strategic opportunities and training to effectively engage today's culture with the gospel by blessing our communities, reaching our neighbors, and building up the local church. To do that, we Partner, Prepare and Provide locally.

Partner
We partner with local organizations, including churches, non-profits, businesses, and schools, who desire to make a difference in their community because we believe we will make the greatest impact when we unite our resources, opportunities and efforts together.

We prepare the way for the church to bless their city and reach their neighbor by creating a network of opportunities through our Community Partnerships and Reach Initiatives. We also offer free evangelism training to local churches to prepare believers to have the tools and confidence to live out their faith effectively in today's culture.

When significant needs arise due to disaster, death, and desperate circumstances, we step in to rally the local church and community together to serve and provide for those affected so they can receive the care they need and experience the love of Christ through His Body.
